Progressive Sanctions and Rewards Module
What does this mean for you?
We provide a streamlined system for progressive and standardized incident/sanction response AND an incentive and rewards program for positive behavior monitoring and recognition that is fully integrated into the CorrectTech system.
- Employ Colorado DCJ’s BSMART (Behavioral Shaping Model and Reinforcement Tool) to help achieve better client outcomes.
- Develop your own sanctions and rewards program with 100% configurability that allows agencies in any county or state to adopt all, some or none of the standards created by Colorado DCJ.
- Take advantage of our robust mechanism for applying the 4:1 ratio at your agency without a single piece of paper or spreadsheet.
- Recognize positive behavior.
- Establish standardized client behaviors that earn incentives (such as XX days of no incidents, gaining employment, completing treatment, etc.) and let the CorrectTech system monitor them.
- Identify case plan goals and steps to be automatically rewarded upon completion through our automated Case Planning module.
- Save staff time in tracking rewards items, redemptions, client point balances, and full transaction histories using our integrated Rewards Store.
- Give clients the freedom to manage their point balances and choose how they redeem their rewards.
- Standardize your agency’s incident responses and designated sanctions.
- Save staff time, while increasing transparency, with predefined and standardized sanctions to provide fair, timely and consistent responses to rule violations.
- Increase client accountability and save time by having each client review incidents and associated sanctions and plead. Upon guilty plea, sanctions are automatically implemented and communicated!
- Define standardized rule violation responses that include chores, restrictions, behavioral interventions, admin hearings and more.
- Specify progressive responses in the event of multiple offenses to better deal with repeat non-compliant behavior.
- Better understand what motivates your clients by linking data from their assessments through case plan completions and positive behavior recognition. See where your clients are earning incentive points in relation to their associated case plan needs, completed goals and steps and more using our Global Data Manager.
- Reinforce your agency standards and policies with regard to sanctions and behavior recognition.
- Make changes easily without programming changes as you learn and grow!
Here's how CorrectTech makes it happen:
Our 100% configurable behavior management system for progressive and standardized incident/sanction responses AND a behavior recognition and incentive/rewards system that uses information already measured throughout the CorrectTech system.
- Fully configurable settings allow changes and updates over time without software coding changes. All changes are welcome from local and statewide experiences, research and/or referral agency mandates.
- Client population flexibility recognizes any client condition or characteristic (i.e. assessed risk level, program level, residential or non-residential) for unique and individualized application of sanctions or incentives.
- Builds on other CorrectTech modules (instead of replacing) to help our existing customers’ staff and clients adopt new features:
- Incident reporting functionality expanded – New definitions of Prohibited Acts and added automated sanction definitions come directly from a configurable grid of options.
- Restrictions and chores functions expanded – Agency-predefined sanctions result in automatic sanctions due to guilty pleas or decisions, with the option to allow manual override as an agency setting.
- Client plea and Client Kiosk function expanded – The Client Kiosk shows clients their incidents and correlated sanctions by guilty or not-guilty plea, clean slate days and a history of incidents and sanctions by level.
- Case Planning Module expanded – Goals and action steps can be marked “eligible” for reward points (per defined grid). Points are automatically reflected in the client ledger upon eligible case plan goals / steps completion.
- Expanded incidents features include documentation and visibility of sanctions, behavioral interventions and admin hearings with automated link to discharge reports if termination results from a violation.
- Specially formatted case notes are generated to meet state or federal audit standards.
- Behavioral interventions can be generated that can optionally count toward dosage.
- New incentives and rewards system gives agencies full control of their behavior management program with full configuration abilities including operational essentials for streamlined management.
- Establish one or more incentive levels (for example, bronze, silver and gold), point values for each behavior by category, and whether any behavior can only be rewarded once.
- Behavior recognition comes in five types (regardless of where they are on the incentive grid):
- Automated measurement: Automated jobs run to check for successes based on agency defined desirable behaviors (such as 120 days of accountable whereabouts).
- Case plan completion: When goals/steps that are eligible for rewards are completed, points will automatically be credited to clients’ rewards system ledgers. Links to the criminogenic needs are recorded.
- Document existence: Points are rewarded to clients based on the completion of a document identified by the following agency defined parameters: document name, starting date (i.e. intake) and completion date (i.e. within 7 days of intake).
- Prosocials (individualized behaviors): Agencies define a list of categorized choices that are manually rewarded with comments added by staff. Clients see points applied to their rewards ledger and a prosocial message in the Client Kiosk.
- Standardized behavior: Agencies define standard client behaviors for automated responses when documented in other modules of CorrectTech with options for manual entry by staff based on a fully configurable list of choices and point values.
- Points tracking and redemption
- Clients and staff can see client points ledger, running balance, items redeemed and a list of possible reward items on the Client Kiosk, client placement, and Rewards Store.
- Specialized roles designate who can operate the Rewards Store, who can approve non-commissary items and who can handout non-commissary items.
- Clients can request items on their own using the Client Kiosk.
- Case managers (on individual client placements) or the Rewards Store manager (across all clients) can redeem and fulfill rewards items.
- Transactions of points or rewards can be voided (with reason).
- Rewards items management
- Define a list of items that are available at the store. This list can be easily adjusted by adding and deactivating items as inventory and other factors change.
- Agencies can designate items as a one-time only reward (per client).
- The complete list of possible rewards is visible to client on the Client Kiosk and to staff on the rewards tab in the client placement or in the Rewards Store.
